Geek lost in Iowa. Help! I'm terrible at this kind of thing, so I'm just going to type and see what falls out.

I tend to be more quiet when I first meet people, but I open up more and more as I become accustomed to them. Even then I can be a quieter person. I'm much more likely to listen and absorb things than start the conversation myself.

I tend to make jokes and puns a lot, particularly if I'm not sure what to say. I like to be laughing and to make others laugh - a good sense of humor is very important to me.

I'm definitely a gamer. I'm interested in card games, video games and tabletop gaming. The main games I play are Warhammer 40,000, and Legend of the Five Rings (L5R for short). As far as video games go, I am particularly fond of classic games (SNES era or older). I am a huge fan of Megaman games - if it's a Megaman game, I've played it a least once, probably more. Way more. A lot. Seriously.

Other series I'm into include The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Super Smash Bros., Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, early Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Bonk's Adventure...

I love the geeky hobbies, but they're certainly not all I'm willing to do for fun, though I'm not very keen on going out a lot to bars and such. It's not an off-limits deal, I simply prefer smaller groups of friends over larger crowds.

As far as what I'm looking for on here, I'm simply tired of being alone. I miss the companionship of a relationship, so that's what I'm after. Somebody who I can not only date, but also hang out with and build a close friendship with.
